Parent Organization: University of Kansas

If you are interested in scheduling a meeting with a peer mentor, please reach out via email at psn@ku.edu.

Developed with the University Mental Health Collaborative partner agencies and University of Kansas students, Peer Support Network (PSN) is a student organization intended to address the barriers experienced by any student who struggles to achieve academic success due to issues related to mental health, especially those students who represent marginalized identities.

PSN is modeled after other campus based peer-to-peer type supports around the country. Based on the growing body of research demonstrating the strength of programs like PSN, we believe students play vital roles in understanding various student experiences and creating innovative solutions to address barriers. We aim to increase student retention by matching students with trained peer mentors, meeting in person, listening, and referring to resources that match a student’s individual needs on campus and in the Lawrence community.
