Oldfather Production Club
About
Oldfather Production Club is a weekly collaboration of like minded creatives interested in a career in the film and entertainment industries. Our goal is to provide crew members with access to additional tips and industry insight from local and nationwide professionals, organizations, and professors, as well as encourage communication and collaboration between KU film and theater students, and ultimately help members develop professional development skills that will cultivate long-lasting relationships and facilitate a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Community, communication, and connections are the three C’s of entertainment production social development for Oldfather Production Club.
By attending meetings, participating in club events, and aiding their fellow peers, crew members will earn valuable relationships in the film community; these long-lasting friendships will support, push, and challenge each member to grow and attain higher standards and successes.
Crew members will practice and learn the communication skills that are vital on a film set by actually taking part in and learning from professional and student-lead productions.
Crew members will be introduced to and encouraged to create and maintain meaningful, symbiotic, educational, and advantageous connections with mentors in the industry that can be paramount to creative, social, and intellectual career growth.
