About
The ECM provides students and community members a chance to serve, to listen, to talk, and to explore in a safe place.
ECM invites religious believers, the spiritual but not religious, agnostics, atheists, social activists, outcasts, friends of the earth, change makers, those of all sexual orientations and gender identities, those who want to discover something new while finding community, those who hope for a better world and those who wonder how it is possible, to join us around the hearth as we seek to create an open space to discuss ideas and values, break bread together, transform the world, and build community.
Program Spotlight:
Veggie Lunch is a free VEGAN lunch every Thursday from 11:30 AM -1:00 PM during KU class sessions. It is open to all, and donation based. Come join us for great food, conversation, and community!
Other programs include the Free Coffee Tuesdays, Tai Chi & Chai Tea, the Visiting Theologian program, Fair Trade Market, and the Solidarity! Library. The ECM facilities are available to rent for events. There is also a Hospitality House for visitors to the Lawrence area to stay at a low cost, with access to all of the programs held at the ECM.
