Parent Organization: Student Involvement & Leadership Center

ASME is a multinational organization of mechanical engineers, founded in 1880. With over 130,000 members in more than 30 member countries, ASME creates and mantains technical standards, holds conferences, and promotes the education of all members for the betterment of the mechanical engineering discipline.

ASME at KU promotes competition and learning within the mechanical engineering department, organizing teams to compete in national engineering competitions and projects for the benefit of KU. In addition, ASME at KU reaches out to industry, bringing representatives from many disciplines to share their knowledge and practical expertise with the students at KU.
