Parent Organization: Student Involvement & Leadership Center

The Society of Physics students is open to all students who have taken a physics class at the University of Kansas. We meet Fridays at 4:00pm in Malott 3005. Everyone is welcome, including physics staff and faculty. We promote interest in physics by having discussions, speakers, and playing physics games. Our main goal is physics outreach. We travel to several elementary school "Science Nights" throughout the school year as well as participate in the Carnival of Chemistry at KU. We aim to encourage kids interested in science by presenting fun demonstrations. When we are not doing outreach events, we have social events like ice skating and bonfires! Please join us for our next meeting (there is always free food)!
