About
Looking to get involved in improving a nationally ranked program? KU's Model United Nations (MUN) aspires to improve delegates skills, including:
- public speaking,
- critical thinking,
- diplomacy,
- policy making,
- problem solving, and
- debate skills
We train these skills through friendly competition at our unique simulations and out-of-school conferences. Every year KUMUN participates in conferences around the country, such as those put on by UChicago and the University of Indiana, and we may even host our own high school or collegiate competitions. All students are encouraged to attend our weekly sim sessions or our monthly training meeting, regardless of previous experience in MUN or their major.
